Sounds like a Book 2018 was focused on Silence. 15 artists from various fields, working to translate sound into print.
More than a tool, adjacent or disposable, print has become an integrated part of expression for many artists nowadays. Understanding format, paper type, weight, binding, layout, is key in finding a symbiosis between one’s concept, art practice and the physical printed object. After conceptualising and designing we went through the actual production process, printing, folding and binding so that each participant could grasp a more comprehensive perspective over the making of a self-publication.
